What To Expect
Our physiotherapists and healthcare team will complete a thorough evaluation and determine the best personalized course of treatment for a fast recovery. We will also provide you with tips and education for prevention. These treatment options can include:
  • Therapeutic Exercise Prescription
  • Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) or Interferential Current (IFC): Specific types of nerve and muscle stimulation that reduces pain and tension.
  • Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES): A physiotherapy tool used to improve the activation and contraction of muscles that are inhibited after injury
  • Acupuncture: Sterile needles are applied to specific points on the body that stimulate blood flow, improve tissue healing and reduce pain. Laser can also be applied instead of needles to these specific points.
  • Manual techniques including joint mobilization, massage techniques, myofascial techniques: Physical Therapy hands-on techniques designed to reduce joint and muscle restrictions, promote circulation and healing, and reduce scar tissue and joint and nerve irritation.
  • Heat or ice: Used by physiotherapists to assist in inflammation (ice), muscle relaxation and promote circulation (heat). Physiotherapists will use this in conjunction with other techniques to maximize treatment outcomes.
  • Ultrasound: Reduces scar tissue, promotes circulation and tissue repair at more specific sites or for deeper tissues below the skin.
  • Laser: Reduces scar tissue and improves circulation. Physiotherapists will also use laser on acupuncture points to obtain pain relieving and healing effects similar to acupuncture.
  • Sports injuries rehabilitation: Our physiotherapists are experienced in the treatment of sports injuries and strive to return you to sport as soon as possible. We understand the demands needed in specific sports and will ensure your recovery involves meeting those demands.
  • Sport specific training: Our team of physiotherapists and kinesiologist assess areas for improvement and work together to develop sport specific training programs to assist you in achieving your goals.
  • Taping Techniques: Athletic and postural taping can be provided to assist in injury prevention and support. We provide both athletic and kinesiotaping techniques.
  • Fit FORE Golf evidence based techniques: Golf specific programs by registered health providers designed to improve performance, reduce pain, or rehabilitate back to golf from injury.
